March 17, 2012: My First Blog Hop!

Pin It Now! And I'm running late! Can you believe that? I've had slow Internet for a couple days here, and now it keeps crashing, so I'm having a hard time getting this up and posted. Sit tight. :)

I'm so very pleased to have joined SU Stars and been invited to join their March Blog Hop, and even more excited that the theme for this hop is My Digital Studio. Now, y'all know I'm NOT a digital scrapbooker or cardmaker, which is why I love that MDS is so much more than that. First, you have all seen my gorgeous flyers, newsletters and advertisements - yup, all MDS! And just look at the project above - that is a MDS hybrid project. :) Hybrid means I made a portion of the project with MDS - printed right from my home computer - then I jazzed it up with all my usual fun stash of Stampin' Up! goodies to make a quick, beautiful project. Fab!

In addition to my gorgeous printed image (which I die cut using the Framelits Labels Dies and the Big Shot) I used some retired Designer Series Paper in Concord Crush, a strip of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, Whisper White Organza Ribbon and an Antique Brad. This will be great on the wall of my craft room!

Check out all of Stampin' Up!'s amazing digital offerings HERE. :)

NOTE: If you want to recreate the above project, it's super important to find one that is known as a double mat or a float frame. They used to be hard to find, but now are readily available at your local big craft store. Float frames have enough space behind the glass for an Antique Brad without crowding. Love that!

There are a lot of great stops on this tour - if you get lost, here is the list:

1. Robin's Craft Room
2. Stampin' Stace
3. If I Can Stamp, You Can, Too!
4. Loni's Life
5. Elin's Elegant Designs
6. Stamping with Janice
7. CJ Stamps
8. Shari's Stamp Pad
