April 21, 2010: Stamp Camp Roses

Pin It Now! This amazing card was designed by Heather Westlake for our Stampin Up Stamper's 10 Club a couple weekends ago. It is so amazingly beautiful I wish you could see it in person!

Heather chose shimmering cardstock for the roses, so they have a subtle sheen even through the ink. In order to keep the embossed indentations clean she had us apply two colors of ink with a brayer. It looked really complicated but was actually quite easy and only took a few minutes to get the prettiest of shading variations.

The True Friend is from Simple Friendship and the leaves are from A Rose is a Rose. The embossing folder is Manhattan Flower, same as yesterday. :)

I used this technique for a Mother's Day card this past weekend which I'll show you tomorrow - stay tuned!

  1. Ooooh, love how using the brayer twice really makes this Manhattan floral embossing stand out. Am anxious to see the brayering twice tutorial - I have the Manhattan floral - it is so pretty and like to see other ways to use it. BTW, your blog design is gorgeous - love the textbook background, see-through roses, and different shades of rose...I am on cuttlebugitis too. Mary L
