September 18, 2012: Rosette Wreath

Pin It Now!

It only took me 9 months to finish this!  And don't worry - it was lack of time, not that the project was that difficult!  :)  I even had to dig into my retired stash for the buttons - that's how long ago I started this project!

I just adore the color combo of Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke - it's rich and vintage, all at the same time.

September 10, 2012: 3-D Christmas Ornaments

Pin It Now!

Aren't these fab?  They are 7" across, 2" thick and completely 3-D.  So beautiful in person!  I will be making these to order in custom colors between now and Christmas for $12 each.  Shipping is $8 in a gift box, and a second ornament ships free in the same box.

I'll be making these with both Whisper White and Very Vanilla bases, and the Very Vanilla will have pearls instead of rhinestones and have gold metallic paper as opposed to the silver glitter paper I've used here.

These are a total WOW in person!

July 30, 2012: Floral Frames Framelit Ornaments

Pin It Now!
Last year I went crazy making the pop up star  ornaments...I think I must have made 50 of them!  I learned how to do them by using the amazing Tami White tutorial (I'll embed her You-Tube video at the end of this post).

One thing I learned through making them is you can use any shape that can be evenly divided into quarters - not just squares!  As soon as I saw the Floral Frames Framelits in the new catalog, I saw they had 8 petals...perfect for pop up flowers.  :)

You make these the exact same way - and I love that when they are all folded up they make a heart!  These ornaments actually make perfect gift tags for a present or a wine bottle neck.  I often put plain cardstock on the sides and stamp them with a "To: From:" stamp, or a birthday sentiment.

So there you have it - pop up flower ornament tags!

July 12, 2012: Wedding Shadow Box

Pin It Now!

Made this for one of my classes - so much fun!  Amazing wedding gift, too.  :)  I used the now-retired French Filigree background stamp and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to heat emboss the subtle background, and topped it with amazing handmade flowers.  Dazzling Diamonds on the largest flowers ties the whole thing together. :)

Love it!

July 9, 2012: Another Butterfly Jar

Pin It Now!
I've gone a bit nutty for these butterfly jars, and I've made a bunch of them.  :)

This one is Lucky Limeade and Melon Mambo - it's such a bright, cherry combo!

I still have four of these jars - including this one - for sale, too...$12 plus shipping.  :D

June 23, 2012: Cute Birthday Cakes

Pin It Now!
Aren't these just the cutest thing?  These are paper covered battery tealights - and they look just like little birthday cakes!  So adorable.  I whipped these up as favors for one of my classes.  :)

June 5, 2012: Paper Basket

Pin It Now!
Isn't this adorable?  Another shoebox project...I'm not sure of the creator on this one, but it sure is cute!

With the computer changeover I'm managed to misplace some of my My Digital Studio files, so my June newsletter is taking longer than planned.  I was due for a new background anyway, so I'm not too upset over it.  :)  I do appreciate your patience!

June 4, 2012: Petite Purse in Summer Smooches :)

Pin It Now!
I'm FINALLY posting pics from APRIL!  Can you believe it!?!? I sooo lost track of time.  :)

This adorable purse was one of the samples I got from the shoebox meeting at my upline Heather's house.  I was out of town, but she kindly saved me the projects.  Unfortunately, I did not get who made what. :)

The Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper is such fun! And I love these little Petite Purses.  :D

March 19, 2012: Another Shadow Box

Pin It Now!
Another shadow box. :) I used some of the last scraps of Timeless Portrait DSP for the roses, but I was out of Island Indigo Cardstock so I substituted Not Quite Navy. Turned out Not Quite Bad. :D

The Medallion stamp in White Embossing Powder is such a wow - it looks like it has a lot more dimension than it really does. Such a pretty shadow box!
