January 9, 2012: Packed for Baby

Pin It Now! My very last Packed for Everything sample! I tried to make this look like a block - it's actually really cute in person. I think these stamps are growing on me. :)

April 12, 2011: Quilted Baby Card

Pin It Now!
I needed a quick card for a baby shower, and I've really been liking all the quilted cards I've seen online lately. This card is CASEd from one I saw on Splitcoast posted by Mum of 2+2.

I used the Subtles Designer Series Paper Pack and added Wild Wasabi and So Saffron Cardstock. The Little Baby is retired, and the bunny came from Forest Friends, one of my freebies from Sale-a-Bration.

I did a little embossing with the Swiss Dots folder, too, then cut the quilt with the Top Note Die.

So cute for a baby boy, but could easily go either way. :)

September 28, 2010: Super Fast, Super Simple

Pin It Now! Sometimes the simplest things are the most enchanting (I'm not sure if I just made that up or if I've heard it before...anyway, it's true). I needed a super fast, super simple baby card. I've been getting some practice with Simplicity blog's one layer challenges, so I thought I'd put it to good use. :)

Normally, my natural inclination would be to make the scored diamonds a matted top layer, stamp an image in each diamond, add a sticker or two, then maybe a ribbon or a flower. But I think this looks great just the way it is; simple yet elegant.

At least I am stretching myself a bit. :)

September 13, 2010: Simplicity One-Layer Wednesday 19

Pin It Now! No, I didn't forget. :) I needed a baby congrats card, and I saw the "One-Layer Wednesday" Challenge on the Simplicity blog and decided it would be perfect. But I needed to post the card to enter it. I'll give you the next five pages of the wedding album tomorrow, I promise. :)

I hope the embossing shows up; I used my scrapboss (another of my under-utilized tools) and embossed the top and left side of the card, then stamped the image in simple black. The challenge is for a one layer card, in black and white, with a tiny pop of red. I chose the baby's initials for the red element.

September 4, 2010: Free Standing Card

Pin It Now! This was a free standing photo frame that I made for a friend. She was thrilled and used it for one of her ultrasound photos. I set it up as if it was a card from her unborn baby. Cute huh?
