February 16, 2012: My Valentines

This was the little mini card I whipped up for the girl's at work. Isn't it cute? the stamp is retired - Punch Potpourri (and yes, thank goodness for spell checker, because I always miss-spell that one!) - but I kept it around because I've always loved it. I'm such a heart girl anyway. :) Spray painted hearts on my car once, in high school - oh, yeah...Dad was thrilled. Good times. :D

I'm working on a whole new lineup of fun classes for this summer as well as a couple clubs that I am SUPER excited about - look for an announcement before the weekend. I took a couple days vacation from my day job to get some of this stuff out of my brain, off my desk and out into the world. :)

I'm also going to post another one of my downline Lorie's cards tomorrow - she is so special and I am so proud of her. :)

February 7, 2012: Embossed Frame Valentine

This is the last of the five Valentines I made for my January class. I love the Pink Pirouette and Naturals Ivory color combo! I CASE'd various elements of this card and put them together to make one cohesive design. I wasn't sure how I would like the En Francais background stamp with the embossed tulip border, but I really loved them together - I can see doing that again!

February 6, 2012: Vintage Blue Valentine

Isn't this adorable?? I saw the original idea for this one on a blog called Inspire*Create*Share. I can't read a word on this blog - I think it's in German - but beautiful projects are like smiles and don't need any translations!

It's been a very busy but productive weekend, and I am thrilled to report that I got a ton knocked off my massive to-do list. :) Too bad it keeps getting filled up again!

I am considering starting a marker club, since I don't have all the colors yet. I would need three people to do it with me, and it would be a $45 a month commitment for four months, and at the end of the four months you would have the all 38 Stampin' Write Markers in the handled carrying case, four packages of cardstock and at least $25 in hostess dollars to spend as you see fit. Sometimes I feel like I don't have time to make a card. I know...how awful is that? No time to make card?!?!? But some of my cards are so complicated and time consuming! So I wanted to feature a really simple yet elegant Valentine for my class last weekend, and this is what I came up with. It's so pretty in person! Perfect for any occasion - just change the sentiment. Petite Pairs is perfect for that sort of thing.
