November 4, 2011: TGIF!

Pin It Now!
Now that we are in November, perhaps I had better share September's class project! We made three cards and this adorable little magazine style holder, all using Field Flowers and Two Step Stampin with the fabulous, ingenious Stamp-a-ma-Jig. Which just so happens to be the coolest device known to mankind. :D

This holder is made from Pink Pirouette Cardstock (through some snafu I inadvertently ordered duplicate packages, two months in a row. I've been using it a fair bit!), accented with First Edition Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned stamped in Concord Crush on Very Vanilla, and the flowers are stamped with Wisteria Wonder, Concord Crush and stems of Pear Pizzazz. Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Ribbon completes this look.

August 9, 2011: July Class Project

Pin It Now!
Finally - my July Class project! We made an adorable cut front tote for six cards with a pouch on the front, which held the six sentiments. Each sentiment has a dimensional on the back. Choose the card, add the sentiment, and you are all set!

I don't have a pattern for this, I just sort of let it grow and take shape. I also seem to be lacking a photo of the cards themselves - they are embossed Very Vanilla with touches of Pink Pirouette and glitter, and it was just too monotone for my camera. They were, however, beautiful! I made a couple extra for my Etsy shop, but they never made it that far and sold immediately. Just too cute!

April 10, 2011: Last One Sheet Wonder Class Card

Pin It Now!
Last one! I used the Designer Label Punch to make a window in the black cardstock for the sentiment, which made for a fun look.

Some people have said that the birdcage didn't fit in with the other stamps in the Nature Walk set, and the scale is different. While I certainly see where they are going with this, I like it. I love vintage birdcages, so I was happy to see it in the set. Not only can it go vintage or even retro, I think it's a great image for Oriental themes, too.

April 9, 2011: One Sheet Wonder Card #5

Pin It Now! I just had to squeeze the ruffled ribbon technique in on at least one card. :) I thought this turned our really cute. I knew I had six cards, and I knew the Nature Walk set had six image stamps (plus the "no 147" which I used on every card). The bee, although adorable, was a little on the petite side. So I chose to have a little more going on with the patterned paper, sentiment and ribbon. I think it was perfect - it fit the set yet was unique enough to stand on it's own.

Busy weekend ahead for me! I have my upline's stamper's 10 today, an early school final due Monday, a HUGE Stampin' Up! camp Thursday and my class Saturday. With my full time work schedule and my other final fast approaching, I'm going to be a very busy girl!!

April 8, 2011: One Sheet Wonder Card #4

Pin It Now!
This was by far my favorite of the cards I designed for my One Sheet Wonder boxed card set. It came out exactly as I wanted it to, which really doesn't happen very often. :)

Thanks to Gretchen Barron I learned the EXACT sizes for the scallop trim punch to come out perfectly - I love this tutorial; it's such a great resource! I used the smallest size 1 15/16" to use just the corner punch to make a perfect square.

I just love my Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, too! So much fun. :)

Love this one - featuring the eggs from Nature Walk.

AND my favorite fork bow! My class loved that one. :)
