I has a little bit left from my Simpoly Scrappin' Kit, so I whipped up this cute little number using Stampin' Up!'s 3x3 envelopes, and put a plain cardstock insert in each.

October 13, 2012: Simply Scrappin Project #2

#2! I adore these flip albums, and they are quick to whip up when you need a WOW gift for a wedding, birthday, baby shower - whatever - on the fly! Using a Simply Scrappin' Kit makes them even faster. I think I only spent about 1/2 hour on this one - and that included searching both my memory and my files to remember what size to cut the cover! :D

October 12, 2012: Simply Scrappin' Project #1

Here you have it - Project #1 from my Simply Scrappin' Kit. This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE mini album design - I've made dozens of these! They whip up so quick using Stampin' Up!'s 6x6 page protectors. Using a SSK makes them even faster!
Now, I should mention that when I got this idea about making as many things as possible from one kit, I only had one complete kit on hand - Tea Time, which was retired this year. But, I made these to sell in my mother's new shop in January, so I thought they would be perfect. You can see Stampin' Up!'s current Simply Scrappin' Kits HERE, and the new one from the Holiday Mini Catalog HERE.
Since I'm admitting to using retired product, I might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb...I used my favorite retired Round Tab Punch for the tabs...and I used my last scrap of retired Early Espresso Quilted Ribbon from last Christmas...and non-SU eyelets. But, each of these items is easily replicated from SU's current product line! :D
So that's project #1. And I had a TON left over!

Here you have it - the very last Flirtatious Brag Book Purse from my class. I saved this one for last because - well - it's my favorite. :) I just loved how this DSP fit the front of the purse, and the Melon Mambo is so dramatic against the buttery yellow.

January 3, 2011: Christmas Mini Album

REMEMBER - TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ORDER FROM THE HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG!!!
This is the last Christmas project (I think) :). I don't know - I keep finding just one more!
This was the door prize I made for my December class. I don't make a lot of mini albums, and I really don't know why as I love making them and people love receiving them!
To make this one I followed an AMAZING tutorial by Kimberly Van Diepen - I think I got it from http://www.craftyperson.com/ last Christmas. Such a simple album, but a huge wow no matter what the occasion.
For the cover, I used Textured Cherry Cobbler Card
stock and dolled up the spine with Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper. I used a spare card front from another project that I had in my scrap pile - I love doing that! It's Whisper White stamped with Christmas Postcard in Early Espresso, and colored in with colored pencils. The edges are embossed with the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and the Big Shot, and highlighted with a Sponge Dauber and Garden Green. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding embellished with a So Saffron Subtles Button and Early Espresso Bakers Twine.
The inside pages are also Cherry Cobbler Cardstock, and the flower is punched with the Blossom Petals Punch in Garden Green, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. I fancied it was a modern poinsettia, but basically I just made it up! :)
I covered each inside page with squares of the Frostwood Lodge DSP. I did add the stamped house from Christmas Lodge in Garden Green, and I matted two of my DSP panels on Scalloped Square Die Cuts in Whisper White to add a little interest.
As a final touch I added a strip of Whisper White punched with the Lace Edge Border Punch.
Just a fun little Christmas Album. :)

June 11, 2011: Nautical Mini Album

Isn't this adorable? This is the mini album we made last month at my Nautical Scrapbooking Class. It came out so cute and everyone was thrilled with it.
I used a template I found on SplitcoastStampers for the base, which is Cherry Cobbler Textured Cardstock. I also used the Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper to decorate the front flap and the belly band. For the center Medallion I started with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch in Whisper White, punching it once. Then I used a Post-It as a handle and turned it a bit before punching a second time to make this fun shape. I love how versatile punches are!
I matted my new shape with a 1 3/4" Circle Punchie in Cherr
y Cobbler, a Dimensional, and a 1 1/2" Die Cut in Not Quite Navy from the Circles #2 Die. Whisper White punched with the new Postage Stamp Punch and stamped in Basic Gray with the compass from The Open Sea finishes off the belly band.
The flaps are Whisper White, Not Quite Navy and Basic Gray matted with Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White. I stamped the center Whisper White panel with Sail Away in Basic Gray, and decorated the outside flaps with Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, a Vintage Finding Safety Pin, and bits of Basic Gray stamped images from The Open Sea punched out with the 3/4" Circle Punch and the Jewelry Tag Punch.
I also decorated a couple
of the inside flaps with images stamped in Versamark. They can easily be covered by photos, but I also thought they could be journaled over with the White Signo Gel Pen, which is perfect for journaling on dark colored cardstock.
The collage stamped on the center Whisper White panel is CASED from a card made by another demo - as always, I which I could remember who! If you know, leave it in the comments and I'll edit this post. The ink colors are Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray and Not Quite Navy. the sentiment is from Word Play and is one of my favorites. :)
Oh - and the rounded corners? Stampin' Up! has a 3/16" Corner Rounder, but I wanted a wide sweeping corner, so I improvised! I stuck each corner through the bottom of the 1 3/4" Circle Punch and clipped it. Voila! Instant wide rounded corner. How cool is that?
