Isn't this the prettiest Christmas card? This is one of the cards I made at my upline, Heather's Christmas Stamp Camp. So serene and beautiful!

October 8, 2010: My 300th Post!
Pin It Now!

I had planned a fancy project to share today for my 300th blog post, but the numbers didn't quite add up. It's a gift I'm giving tomorrow, so I don't want to spoil the surprise. :) Trust me, though...it's worth the wait!
In the meantime, I'll share the last fabulous card from Heather Westlake's Stampin Up World Card Making Day Stamp Camp. Love this one! It came out looking super elegant, and I love the color combo. It had a lot of steps and a lot of pieces, but it was so worth it.
I really like how she matted the sentiment; I always use the smaller oval and mat it on the scallop oval, but I really like how this looks, too.
Stay tuned tomorrow!

October 7, 2010: A is for Always

Love this card! Yet another fabulous Heather Westlake design. I always like how she has us use stamps to make our own patterned paper; I really need to start doing that for my own designs. I also like how the colors came together so nicely.
Adding the tiny tag with the heard was a sweet little touch, too. :)

October 6, 2010: Cupcake Card
Pin It Now!
Cupcakes are sooo trendy right now! Well, so are owls, but that's another show. Anyway, I was excited to make this cupcake card at Heather Westlake's Stampin Up World Card Making Day Stamp Camp; so cute.
It was actually simpler than I thought it would be. We stamped the cupcake image in tan ink, then stamped it again in blue on another sheet. This allowed us to cut out the "frosting" and add it on top of the tan cupcake with a dimensional. The candle was a separate stamp colored with markers.
Great fun...and what a perfect birthday card!

LOVE this card! This was the third card from Heather Westlake's Stampin Up World card Making Day Stamp Camp. We used the flourish stamp from Elements of Style with Versamark to make the background, then the punched a small section of the flower stamp for the focal image. The strip is one of the new SU punches run through a corrugator.
Much like my breyer, clearly I should start using that corrugator more often! What a great look.

October 4, 2010: Pink and Brown Birdie Card
Pin It Now!
I adore pink and gray together, so I was excited to see this card sample at Heather Westlake's Stampin Up World Card Making Day Stamp Camp. It is SO CUTE!
There is a fair bit of detail that doesn't show up in the pictures, from the piercing around the edge of the focal image to the stamped off damask stamping. In order to add a little more age to the central image, we also lightly pounced a sponge touched with Sahara Sand ink to the corners. I was amazed at how much dimension it added.
The background paper was rolled with a stamp roller...I almost got it straight, too!
