March 8, 2012: February Class Door Prize

Pin It Now!
Isn't this absolutely adorable? I used one of Becky Robert's AMAZING tote tutorials - if you haven't checked them (or her blog) out you really should. She is amazing, and her tutorials cannot be beat! So easy to follow and the results always amaze. :)

Anyway, I did change up the dimensions on this one a bit so it would hold the large square chocolate and hazelnut candy bar I bought, so it's a bit taller than the original tutorial. I used Pear Pizzazz and Concord Crush - I'm really going to miss those colors! - and my new Blossom Punch from the Spring Occasions Mini. Did you know that you can layer three Modern Label Punchies on top of the Blossom Punch and get a perfect layered flower? So cool!

January 30, 2012: Heart Luminary Door Prize

Pin It Now!
Isn't this pretty? This was my door prize for class yesterday. I tried to to take a picture so you could see the glow from the battery-operated tea light inside. :) It was soooo pretty in person!

I spent some time dropping off flyers at local laundromats and community boards to try to get more people to my monthly classes - PLEASE let me know if you have any other ideas. I am also giving away a free retired stamp set if you bring a new friend to one of my classes. :)

My first Attic Boutique Share filled, so if you want to get in on that I am taking sign ups for a second share.

Also, my January Stamp of the Month is SOLD OUT. I am now taking orders for the February Stamp of the Month - Always Elegant. More details to come!!

January 20, 2012: Shadow Box Door Prize

Pin It Now!
This is the door prize I made for my last workshop - just something fun and bright for these snowy winter days. :)

I did use some Clearance Rack products on it - the ribbon is still available, and I've linked it below, but I noticed today that the fabric brads were gone. :(

However, the brads I used for the flowers inside the shadow box are actually not available yet - they will be available on January 24 for Sale-a-Bration!

October 30, 2011: October Masculine Card Class Door Prize

Pin It Now! I was so pleased with how this came out! It's just a simple acrylic 5x7 picture holder (from a local big box store), and a little mini calendar I got from an online bulk buy group attached to the front.

The paper is Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper - I love the woodgrain look - and I added leaves stamped from French Foliage to the upper corner. Very easy to do, just stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock with Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Peach Parfait ink using the rock and roll technique (ink up your stamp in the light color, and rock the edges on a darker ink pad before stamping). Then cut them out!

After attaching the leaves to the DSP with Mini Glue Dots, I added a scrap of Crumb Cake Seam Binding with a flat knot. The Antique Brad is actually on top of the frame; I just cut the prongs off with pliers and attached it with a couple Mini Glue Dots.

So easy to do, but what a great door prize!
