September 8, 2012: Twist Card

Pin It Now! I've been crafting up a STORM but I know I'm behind on posting all my new pretties.  I'll get to work on that!

This super duper adorable twist card was one of my upline Heather's offerings at our last shoebox meeting.  Soooo cute!

I would have never known it if she hadn't told me, but the Designer Series Paper - Comfort Cafe - she just printed off in squares from her My Digital Studio program!  It looked so much like the real deal I was totally fooled.  For me (and y'all know I'm a tad bit neurotic) I hate to cut into a beautiful 12x12 sheet of DSP...this way, I can have truly unlimited DSP!  AND...so may of Stampin' Up!s great papers have Whisper White backgrounds...now you have the option of Very Vanilla WITH a slightly heavier base weight.  Thrilling!

August 21, 2012: Shavon's Shoebox Card

Pin It Now!
I'm always impressed by Shavon's color combos.  I will totally admit that I am unimaginative when it comes to colors.  I have Stampin' Up!'s color coach and sometimes I look at the options and think they are fab...but I really don't have the guts or creativity to create something with those colors.  :)

Shavon, though - she has the most amazing sense when it comes to these things and I always love what she puts together!

July 6, 2012: What a Weekend!

Pin It Now!
What a weekend!  I had 7 events this weekend (none stamping - just local activities)!  We endced up missing one but adding another so I still made 7 of 7.  It's an accomplishment.  :)

I was thrilled when my upline Heather announced that this card was crayon resist...it's one technique I've never done.  And it was so much easier than I thought it would be!  I've seen some on blogs and there seems to be quite a debate over Crayola crayons versus another brand, or only using white crayons, or whatever.  Heather said that she has experimented with all sorts of crayons and it doesn't seem to matter!

It's super simple...all you do is stamp on Glossy White Cardstock with Jet Black Staz-On and give it some time to dry.  Then you color on whatever you want with crayons (the one I used was purple), trying to get the wax a little thick.  Sponging on color is really easy - just pounce it on, don't rub.  When dry wipe off the wax to reveal the white!

I can't wait to try this technique again.  :)

June 11, 2012: Aperture Card

Pin It Now!
I ADORE these shadow box cards that have the pieces that move out of the way for the main image.  I'm just not sure what they are called, so I've been calling this an aperture card.  :)

Another nameless shoebox swap card!

July 9, 2012: Class Day!!!

Pin It Now!
I'm putting the finishing touches on my One Sheet Wonder Birthday Card Tote Class...I think my the end of today everyone will be pros at using a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig!

Another poor nameless card from the shoebox swap.  I got such pretty ones this time - wish I had been there! :)

June 5, 2012: Paper Basket

Pin It Now!
Isn't this adorable?  Another shoebox project...I'm not sure of the creator on this one, but it sure is cute!

With the computer changeover I'm managed to misplace some of my My Digital Studio files, so my June newsletter is taking longer than planned.  I was due for a new background anyway, so I'm not too upset over it.  :)  I do appreciate your patience!
