Pin It Now!Last year, Stampin Up had a package of small cards called "Fresh Cut Notes." Each one had a flower cut out in the front. I liked the look, so this is my take. :)
I used my Slice to cut the opening in the front, and mounted it on charcoal black metallic paper. Then I mounted two flower punchies in pink and black on top, with the pink ever so slightly offset. Doodle dots with a white gel pen and a pink rhinestone finished the look. In real life, it has a lot more dimension and flash than the pictures show.
Today I have my monthly stamp camp so I should have some fun new projects to share soon. :)
Pin It Now!This is a fun card I did for Mother's Day last year. I decorated the front with a metal pin threaded through a Sizzix diecut, a large label cut from my Slice and a punched fleur de lis. (Mom loves FDLs!)
I wanted the middle to be a real wow, so I cut 4" letters with my Slice and made an accordion of pop-ups to set the letters up and out. I was pleased with the end result.
Although I often think it, I really do need to dust off the Slice more often. I'm always impressed with the look that I can achieve and I really do have several cards. :) I am very much a Cuttlebugger and I love manual die cutting, but there is definitely a size versatility factor with the electronic cutters.
People often ask me about my Slice, and if I would recommend it. Due to the size limitation (only up to 4") I don't think I would recommend it as someone's only diecutter. However, as a compliment to my Cuttlebug it is perfect for me and I love it!
I'm currently enjoying my role as a Stampin Up! Demonstrator. Please feel free to check out my website HERE. There is some amazing eye candy and promotions to see! I love comments, so please feel free to leave me a comment or e-mail me at the address below. :)

I love crafting of all sorts, but I focus my time on papercrafting as both a scrapbooker and a cardmaker.
