Come make this fabulous, fully 3-D Christmas Ornament plus a couple other fun 3-D ornaments at my last class of the year!

December 8, 2012 at 1PM at my home in Hayden.  This will be a longer class than my usual monthly classes since the projects are bigger.  :)

Here is the way it works.  If you own the Ornament Keepsakes Bundle, you may choose to pre-stamp, cut and fold all your ornament "arms" prior to coming to class.  THIS WILL EARN YOU A $15 DISCOUNT ON THE CLASS since it saves me a TON of work.  :)

If you choose this option let me know with your RSVP and I will send you a list of the pieces you will need to provide.

If you would like me to provide all the pieces your cost will be $35 and I will have all the pieces pre-cut and stamped.  With your RSVP you must choose Whisper White or Very Vanilla base cardstock as well as the color you wish your ornament to be, and if you want a single color or a two toned (like the Raspberry Ripple and Wild Wasabi ornament in the photo).

August 20, 2012: Back from Vacation :)

I've had a lovely vacation and now I'm baaaaaccccckkkkk!!!  :D

This was the final tag at my Tags Class last month, and I saved it for last since it's my favorite. 

I used the Postage Due stamp set, which is one of my favorite new ones in the Annual Catalog.  I did notice when I bought it, however, that the large collage image is horizontal - certainly intended for landscape cards.  No matter - I also got the Travel Journal Wheel which is the exact same script as the background of the collage stamp.  This extends the collage stamp on the top and bottom, which is perfect for this tag.  :)

To make the top I used my little trick of making 1/8" hole in a scrap of Soft Suede and punching that out with the 1/2" Hole Punch.  Makes a perfect tag ring every time.  TIP: Always punch the smaller hole first!  :)

Postage Due is stamped in Crumb Cake on my Very Vanilla tag, and I nipped off the corners with the 1" Square Punch - I find this easier than scissors.  I stamped a second time on a scrap of Very Vanilla with Marina Mist and cut out the flower to add on top.  It just ads color and a tiny bit of dimension.

For embellishments I kept it simple with a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri in Marina Mist (love the coordinating Butterfly Punch!) and a stamp from Postage Due in Soft Suede (with another coordinating punch!).  I've been looking for an excuse to use my Lovely Little Labels and matching Punch Pack, so my tiny Marina Mist Postage Stamp is a perfect little touch.

When I was done, it looked a little unfinished so I added a sliver of Soft Suede cut with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  Love it!

  

August 8, 2012: Tags Class

I really enjoyed designing the tags for my Tags Class last month!  This was one of my favorites.

As a demo, I get a Stampin' Success magazine every month.  It's one of my favorite things about being a demo!  Every month I cut all my favorite pictures as well as the date from the front, and paste them on a sheet of 12x12" Basic Black Cardstock, which then goes in a scrapbook album.  That way I always have instant inspiration at my fingertips!

This tag was CASEd from one of the cards in the February 2011 Stampin' Success.  The original card used textured Soft Suede Cardstock and embossed it with the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  So pretty!  But I didn't have any textured cardstock on hand so I updated the look by using the new Compositions Specialty Designer Series Paper in woodgrain, die cut with the new Oval Accents Bigz Die in Clear.  This DSP already has the heat embossing done for you, so it was a simple matter of sponging on Soft Suede Classic Ink and wiping off the excess to make this gorgeous background.

The flower is First Edition Designer Series Paper and Perfect Plum Cardstock, die cut with the Fun Flowers Die and the Big Shot.  I worked the paper in my hands until it was almost ready to fall apart and had the consistency of soft fabric, then I bunched the DSP flower in the middle before adding my Antique Brad so the Perfect Plum would show.  I used the Crop-a-Dile to make an 1/8" hole in a scrap of Soft Suede Cardstock, then punched that out with the 1/2" Circle Punch to make an accent for my tag, and ran Perfect Plum Taffeta through it for a handle.

I finished my tag with a Scalloped Oval Punchie in Very Vanilla which I stamped with a sentiment from one of my favorite new stamp sets called Blooming With Kindness in Perfect Plum Classic Ink, and popped it up on a Stampin' Dimensional.

So pleased at how this came out!

July 12, 2012: Wedding Shadow Box

Made this for one of my classes - so much fun!  Amazing wedding gift, too.  :)  I used the now-retired French Filigree background stamp and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to heat emboss the subtle background, and topped it with amazing handmade flowers.  Dazzling Diamonds on the largest flowers ties the whole thing together. :)

June 28, 2012: Last of the Feminine Roses Card Class

This is it - the very last one.  This was another CASE - really need to keep better notes.  :(

For this card we used the bleaching technique to lighten the cardstock "petals" and when they were dry added Dazzling Diamonds glitter with the Two Way Glue Pen.  Such a pretty look!

We also used the "Happy Birthday" from Apothecary Art.  I always buy sets like this in Clear Mount, so I can cut the sentiments into individual words.  So much more versatility - love it!

Again, I know I CASEd this card from somewhere - I know Becky Roberts has used this layout with DSP, so it may have been hers...

Anyway, this is the Floating Reinker technique using shimmer paper - AMAZING in person!  And every time I use Rich Razzleberry I get so excited when I see how beautiful it is.  So....rich.  :)

June 26, 2012: Feminine Rose Card #2

This card showcases one of my favorite techniques - you stamp an outline image on Watercolor Paper with Versamark Ink and heat emboss it in Clear.  Then you take a Stampin' Write Marker and outline the dark areas, and use a Blender Pen to spread the color over the entire area.  The results are stunning in person, and make you look like a fancy painter.  :)

I'm quite certain I CASE'd this card from somewhere.  Anyone recognize it?  I'll add the information if I can find it.

LOVE that sentiment from Petite Pairs!  If you are a cardmaker it is a must have.  :)


 

June 24, 2012: VersaShadow Filligree

Finally sharing my May class cards!  These turned out really beautiful and feminine, if I do say so myself.  :)

For this first one, I wanted to showcase the striking Versa-Shadow technique I learned from Erin Gonzales (check out her blog HERE - it's one of my faves) using the now retired French Filligree.  This technique works on a lot of cardstock colors, but there is something about Basic Gray!  It's really easy too - just stamp with Whisper White Craft Ink, and highlight with a Versamarker.  Easy peasy!

The rose is from the now retired (TOTALLY just blanked out on the name!  Good grief.  :) ), which we stamped in Jet Black Staz-On on vellum paper, and colored in with Old Olive, Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Markers.  Cutting it out and mounting it on a torn corner of Pink Pirouette Cardstock really made it pop.
