Pin It Now!
How often do you get to make a card for a 100th birthday? Even in today's world of longer lifespans, a century is quite a milestone (and Jeff's Grandma Kay is in excellent condition, too).
I thought she might appreciate a card with a little vintage flair, so I used a vintage inspired image recycled from a store-bought card, and distressed and inked the edges. Of course, the inside needed to be special, too. :)
In addition to the "explosion," an element I add to a lot of different folded cards, I threw in some hanging letter charms for extra pop. The brown ribbon bows are carried throughout. I always like to add some element from the card to the envelope - this time, I didn't have the post office to contend with, so I could add whatever I wanted. :)
The sentiment is a favorite of mine "Tis the fashion, my dear, to remember the day but not the year!"

What a great card for your husband's grandmother. I need to make an "explosion" card!
ReplyDeleteBy the way I'm so glad I could enable you to get the Sizzix folder for "Forever & Always". :)
