May 25, 2011: Card by Nancy

Pin It Now!
This is another card I received in a swap from a very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrator named Nancy. I love swaps, because it gives me a chance to see a wide range of different techniques, color combinations and stamp sets in person - thinks I wouldn't think of. Love it! And this one is super cute in person. I'm doing pretty good identifying all the supplies my fellow swappers used. :)

The base is definitely Tempting Turquoise - I love it! Such a happy color. The Asian character is from Dream Garden, and the adorable little munchkin is from Kimono Kids. You will have to clink the link to see her fellow kiddo - so cute. :)

The base for the focal image is Basic Black, and it's topped with Real Red. This is a really cool technique - essentially, you take a 3" square and punch the middle of each side with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. It's such a unique look! The corners are topped with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack in Tempting Turquoise and Blushing Bride, one of the In Colors. Each tiny flower is dotted with the White Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen.

The center of the embellishment is Stampin' Up!'s lovely Shimmery White Cardstock - it has this subtle, beautiful gleam and is amazing to stamp on. The Kimono Kid is colored with Stampin' Write Markers in Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride.

It's such a pretty card - and what a fun one, too!
