September 26, 2012: Thriple Time Card

Pin It Now!
I'm loving all the examples of Triple Time or Three Layer cards (Remember this one HERE?).  But, I have noticed that once you get all six layers in place these cards are not only heavy in terms of mailing, but real cardstock hogs as well!

At her Stamp Camp, Sharon showed us a way of using only one piece of Whisper white, stamping it all over, then using a side cutter to cut out the middle panel.  With that done, die cuting the center is very easy, and the Cherry Cobbler cardstock covers all the little mistakes!

If you make your center Cherry Cobbler panel a little bigger, you could cut your label mat out of the center before gluing down your panel, too.

AND...a frugal tip...if you prefer the less expensive and easier to write on Whisper White for your card base, you can use just one square of Cherry Cobbler and save even MORE weight and money!

This card was SOOO much lighter weight, and it really was quicker, too.  :)
